Two Hamilton County football teams will open the 2018 football season on Friday, Aug. 17 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
Noblesville and Hamilton Southeastern will play in the Indianapolis Colts Horseshoe Classic. The Millers will take to the field first at 6 p.m. when they play Cathedral. At 8:30 p.m., Hamilton Southeastern will begin its season by playing Lawrence Central.
Pre-sale tickets are available in the Noblesville High School Athletic Office. Office hours for the remainder of the summer are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
This will be the first time that the Millers have played Cathedral since 1947 and the 16th game overall in the series, as well as the fourth time Noblesville has played at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Millers played in the first-ever game at LOS, in 2008 at the PeyBack Classic.
Meanwhile, Southeastern last played Lawrence Central in 2007, in a sectional semi-final game won by the Royals. In addition, this will be the first game for both schools under new coaches: Justin Roden for Noblesville and Adam Morris for Southeastern.
