Noblesville began its softball season Tuesday with an 11-1 home victory over Western Boone.
The Millers scored in all five innings. Gabby Fowler smacked a home run in first inning for Noblesville’s first score of the season. The Stars tied it up with a homer in the bottom of the first, but Bella Schatko answered that with a three-run homer in the top of the second.
Fowler opened the third inning with another home run, then Mack Harvey nailed another three-run homer for Noblesville later in the inning. A two-run double by Chloe Vetter in the fifth inning ended the game on the 10-run rule.
Fowler finished 3-for-3 at the plate. Erin Clark also hit a double. Lulu Van Beek pitched two and a third innings for the win.
The Millers open Hoosier Crossroads Conference play next Tuesday at Avon.
