The Noblesville gymnastics team hosted a home meet Tuesday with New Palestine, Lapel and Fishers.
The Millers finished second to New Pal, with a score of 82.90. Hailey Knoll took fifth on the balance beam with a score of 7.65, with Ella Deno placing sixth by scoring 7.325. Both had “beam sticks,” meaning no falls from the beam, which Noblesville coach Jody Ramey said is “always a good thing especially that we are now having some consistency on the balance beam.”
Deno had the Millers’ highest score of the meet, with a 7.925 on the floor exercise, good for sixth place.
“Overall we do have some challenges to face as we enter into mid-season,” said Ramey. “We will continue to strive to increase our skill levels and create more connections with our skills which helps create value in a routine. I am looking forward to the second half of our season as I believe we will be seeing improvements in our individual score which of course will have our team score to continue to rise.”
On Saturday, Noblesville competed at the Northwestern Invitational, placing fifth with a score of 78.125. Cailey Hurst had the Millers’ highest score with a 7.975 on the floor, while Hailey Knoll placed eighth on the uneven bars with a 6.55.
