The Noblesville gymnastics team competed in a meet against Franklin Central and Roncalli on Tuesday.
While the Millers were outscored by both teams, they earned their highest score of the season with a 94.225. The score is an increase of two points from their performance at the Connersville Invitational on Saturday, and six points better than their dual meet last week.
Noblesville’s highest scores of the night came on the vault. Olivia Mangin scored an 8.50, while Devyn Palmer earned an 8.475.
“This was a great day for us on vault as we are seeing consistency from the girls which is very important as we head into sectionals,” said Millers coach Jody Ramey. “As vault is our strongest event, it is very important that we are solid on vault moving into sectionals.”
Kayleigh Sahr had a consistent night with an 8.15 on vault and an 8.025 on the floor exercise. Ella Deno scored 8.075 on her floor routine, while Kiley Reisner earned an 8.05 on vault.
In the all-around scores, Palmer totaled 32.05 and Mangin scored 31.825.
“Though we did not bring home the win for this evening, this was a great competition for the Lady Millers as we are seeing improvements both individually and with the team score,” said Ramey. “This helps our team mentally and physically prepare for sectional to come in just a little over a week. I am very proud of this team today!”
Noblesville will travel to Marion on Monday for a dual meet.
