Millers fight Flashes & win

Noblesville’s boys got a hard-fought Hoosier Crossroads Conference win at Franklin Central on Friday, 51-44.

The Flashes led 13-12 after one quarter. The Millers edged ahead 27-25 at halftime, with Justin Curry scoring seven points during the second period. Noblesville clamped down on defense in the third quarter, allowing FC just six points.

The Millers led 38-31 after three quarters, with Curry making two 3-pointers on his way to eight points in that period. Curry scored five more in the fourth, with Aiden Brewer getting four points to help Noblesville clinch the victory.

Curry finished with 22 points, including four 3s. Baron Walker scored 13 points. Aiden Brewer led the rebounds with six, followed by Curry with five.

Noblesville is now 2-1 in conference play and 11-4 overall. The Millers travel to Hamilton Southeastern next Friday for another HCC contest.
