Millers fall to Brownsburg in close HCC contest

Noblesville dropped a close Hoosier Crossroads Conference game to Brownsburg, 57-52 Friday at The Mill.
The Bulldogs got an early lead, going up 19-14 after the first quarter. Brownsburg then led 32-28 at halftime and held the Millers to only six points in the third period, holding a 42-34 advantage by the end of the quarter. Noblesville scored 18 points in the fourth, but the Bulldogs were able to hold on.
Three Millers players reached double figures. E.J. Smith and Josh Durham both scored 14 points, with Smith making four 3-pointers. Luke Almodovar drained three 3s on his way to 13 points. Durham made two 3-pointers, and also had six assists and four rebounds.
Noblesville is 1-5 in conference play and 9-9 overall. The Millers are back at The Mill on Tuesday to host Hamilton Heights in their final home game of the season.
