Friday night’s Hoosier Crossroads Conference game in Brownsburg between Noblesville and the Bulldogs was a game of gaining control. The two conference foes expectedly went toe-to-toe for 32 minutes, but it was the Millers that came away victorious on the road, escaping Hendricks County with a 49-46 win.
The host Bulldogs jumped out after one quarter with a 14-12 lead, but then the Millers were able to take the second quarter 16-10 for a 28-24 halftime lead.
Brownsburg then came storming back in the third, outscoring Noblesville 14-7 and grabbing the lead through three at 38-35.
The Millers fought back hard and did what they had to in order to secure their second HCC win in as many tries. Noblesville overcame the Bulldogs on the road, coming back in the fourth 14-8 for a 49-46 win.
Tippner led the Millers in scoring with a game-high 18 and four boards. Kaitlyn Shoemaker joined her in double-figures with 13 and also grabbed eight rebounds.
Wilson chipped in with seven points, but more importantly snagged seven rebounds and dished out six assists, while Ava Shoemaker added six points.
