The Noblesville cheerleading squad (pictured below) defended its state championship Saturday at the 2017 state cheer competition, which took place at New Castle. The Millers edged out Fishers by a half-point to win its second consecutive title in the large school division. There were five Hamilton County teams that competed. Carmel won first place in the Co-ed competition. Hamilton Southeastern took fourth place and Westfield came up just shy of placing.
