The Noblesville girls basketball team got its third straight win on Saturday, sailing past Franklin Central 72-49 in its Hoosier Crossroads Conference finale at The Mill.
The Class 4A No. 9 Millers steadily built their lead throughout the game, going up 14-6 after the first quarter and 32-16 at halftime. Noblesville then poured in 23 points in the third quarter, giving the Millers a 55-31 advantage by the end of the third.
Ashlynn Shade, who was honored during the game for setting the new single-game scoring record earlier last week, scored 27 points for Noblesville on Saturday. Shade threw in three 3-pointers and also had eight rebounds and seven assists. Reagan Wilson nailed five 3s on her way to 17 points and collected five rebounds. Mallory Miller added 10 points, four assists and four steals while Brooklyn Smitherman pulled seven rebounds and blocked two shots.
Noblesville finished conference play with a 5-2 record and is guaranteed a finish in the top half of the league. The Millers are 17-4 and close out the regular season Wednesday by hosting Pendleton Heights.
