Millers beat Elwood on Senior Night

The Noblesville wrestling team celebrated its Senior Night with a 46-36 dual meet win over Elwood at The Mill.
The Millers won eight of the 14 matches, four of them by fall. Tim Alexander got the first pin, winning the 106-pound bout in 46 seconds. Nathan Ritz got the fall at 120 pounds in 47 seconds. Gary Kitko (at 145) and Zack Knoll (at 170) also both won by pin.
Justin Johnson-Sparks won the 138-pound match in a 13-4 major decision. Joey Kitko (at 113), Dalton Huffman (at 126) and Ben Holtz (at 132) were all winners by forfeit.
“Very proud of our team and how they competed for our seniors,” said Millers coach Michael Weimer.
Noblesville is off until Saturday, Jan. 13, when it will compete at the Hoosier Crossroads Conference meet at Brownsburg.
