Miller wrestlers runners-up at Roncalli Rebel Duals

The Noblesville wrestling team went 2-1 and finished as the runner-up at the Roncalli Rebel Duals on Saturday.
The Millers fell to the Rebels 65-10, but came back to beat Seymour 39-31 and New Palestine 40-32. Dalton Huffman went 3-0 for the tournament.
“Our team faced and dealt with some serious adversity in Round 1 against Roncalli, but they came together and ‘finished the day’ the way we preached to them all week,” said Noblesville coach Michael Weimer. “My dad always told me, ‘you are only as good as your supporting staff’  and that is 100 percent true about my assistant coaches. When adversity hit today, they took the lead and rolled with it, love coaching with these guys.”

Carmel dominated at the Columbus North Invitational on Saturday, going 5-0 for the tournament.
The Greyhounds beat Whiteland 65-12, Bloomington North 72-9, Columbus North 82-0, New Albany 76-4 and Brown County 60-12. Brac Hooper went 5-0 for the day, while Suhas Chundi, AJ Gunn, Joey Langeman and Jack Heldt were 4-0.

Fishers went 4-1 at the New Castle Invitational on Saturday.
The Tigers beat Richmond, Franklin County, Southport and Monroe Central, falling only to Lawrenceburg in a tight 40-31 dual.

Hamilton Heights placed second as a team at the Clinton Prairie Invitational on Saturday.
The Huskies scored 168 points, behind only Lafayette Jefferson’s 202. Heights had three undefeated champions: Dreiken Dunn at 152 pounds, Bobby Williams at 160 and Alex Naylor at 285.
