The Noblesville gymnastics team competed in a three-team meet with Franklin Central and Roncalli Saturday at the Gymnastics Company on the southeast side of Indianapolis.
The Millers finished with a team score of 92.475, behind the Royals’ 100.80 and the Flashes’ 100.525. Keira Harper had two individual fourth-place finishes, scoring an 8.50 on the vault (Noblesville’s highest score of the day) and an 8.275 on the balance beam. Harper also placed fifth on the uneven bars.
Hailey Knoll took sixth on the floor exercise, while Lauren Paska was seventh on the vault and eighth on the beam.
Millers coach Jody Ramey said Saturday “was just not our day.” She said that the Noblesville team was putting in new, higher-value skills into their routines starting with this meet.
“I was very pleased to see this young team attempting and completing these bigger skills today regardless of the outcome of our scores both individually and as a team,” said Ramey.
Now, the Millers will be working towards the sectional meet, which they host next Saturday at Noblesville East Middle School. The meet begins at 10 a.m.
“I do believe this team is capable of advancing out of our sectional into the regional competition if we all perform at our best and with confidence,” said Ramey.
