Michael “Mike” Paul Schmersal, 43, Noblesville, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at his home. He was born on January 16, 1978 to Kenneth and Gretchen (Tripplehorn) Schmersal in Lima, Ohio.
Mike will be remembered for his fierce love for those he held dear, most especially Noah and Ava. He had a tender heart, a mischievous smile, and a joy of teasing. Mike found peace when by the ocean and was gifted in creating art. Most of all he loved a good time shared with friends.
He is survived by his mother, Gretchen Schmersal; son, Noah Schmersal; daughter, Ava Schmersal; siblings, Karin (Bill) Lampkin, Weston, Wis., David Schmersal, Columbus, Ohio, and Cynthia Schmersal, Kansas City, Mo.; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; nephew, Daniel Lampkin; maternal grandparents, Wayne and Annabelle Tripplehorn; and paternal grandparents, Mark and Louise Schmersal.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Schmersal Family has entrusted Randall & Roberts Funeral Home with Mike’s care.
