MIBOR’s Economic & Community Development Council invests $29,468 into central Indiana communities

REALTORS® are committed to strengthening their communities. They know that thriving communities are critical to a thriving real estate market, therefore, REALTORS® invest and engage in economic and community development initiatives.

Beginning in 2021, MIBOR began investing in organizations and initiatives that build and maintain inclusive and vibrant communities, attract, develop, and retain a skilled regional workforce, and work towards the attraction and retention of quality jobs for central Indiana. Through collaboration and shared commitment, central Indiana will become the best region in the country for people to live, work, play, and invest.

MIBOR’s Economic and Community Development Council recently invested $29,468 into 12 central Indiana projects.

That amounts to a total of $118,268 in 34 projects across MIBOR’s 12-county region in 2023.

Investments include:

  • Noblesville Schools Education Foundation, Multilingual Family Support Center: $2,500
  • DREAM Alive, INC., DREAM Alive Career Pathway Development: $5,000
  • Blue River Community Foundation, Asphalt Art Initiative: $2,000
  • Junior Achievement of Central Indiana, Junior Achievement BizTown: $3,000
  • HOPE Community Development Corporation, Affordable & Quality Housing on the Far Eastside: $2,000
  • Indianapolis Parks and Recreation Ellenberger Park, Pollinator Patio: $500
  • Shelbyville Parks Department, Music in the Park Free Concert Series: $2,500
  • Brown County Mountain Biking, Inc., Brown County Bicycle Signage Project: $3,000
  • Leadership Johnson County at Franklin College, Economic Development Day: $1,500
  • Land Stewards of Indianapolis, P30 Art Garden: $2,000
  • Town of Ingalls, Enhancing Recreational Spaces: $3,000
  • Decatur County Parks and Recreation Department, Playground Upgrades: $2,468
