Meth lab found at Courtyard

At approximately 4:04 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 13, police officers and firefighters from the Noblesville Police & Fire Departments responded to the Courtyard by Marriott (17863 Foundation Drive, Noblesville) in reference to a report of smoke. Officers and firefighters arrived on the scene a short time later and began to investigate.

Once of the scene, is was determined that the source of the smoke was coming from a single room on the fourth floor of the hotel. Firefighters and police officers made entry into the room and located what is believed to be a functioning meth lab. Two occupants were also located inside the room and were taken into custody and interviewed by police.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, the occupants of the hotel room have been arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Jail. The individuals and their preliminary charges are listed below:

Name: Katrina Saunders

Residence: Noblesville

Age: 51

Charges:

  • Dealing in Methamphetamine, I.C. 35-48-4-1.1 (Level 2 Felony)
  • Maintaining Common Nuisance, I.C. 35-48-4-13(b) (Class D Felony)
  • Possession of Syringe, I.C. 16-42-19-18 (Level 6 Felony)

Name: Richard K. Pridgeon

Residence: Thomasville, Ga.

Age: 39

Charges:

  • Possession of Syringe, I.C. 16-42-19-18 (Level 6 Felony)
  • Visiting a Common Nuisance, I.C. 35-48-4-13 (Class B Misdemeanor)

There were no reported injuries as a result of this incident. Portions of the hotel were evacuated for a short period of time until the scene could be rendered safe. The Indiana State Police Meth Suppression Section was contacted and summoned to the scene to assist with the investigation. The Hamilton County Health Department also assisted with the investigation.
