Merchants Bank of Indiana has announced that Rebecca Marsh, Vice President and Director of Marketing and Communications, has completed the curriculum from the Sales and Marketing School presented by the prestigious Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Marsh joined Merchants Bank in 2008 as the Information Technology Officer and Director of Marketing and Communications. She also serves as Chief Information Security Officer, responsible for conducting training and testing of all internal staff members on information security best practices to protect customer information and information assets.

She has maintained her role as Vice President, and Director of Marketing and Communications since joining the bank, overseeing all promotional design work, corporate events, charitable contributions and more. In this position, Marsh serves as chair of the company’s community involvement program, which includes development of community partnerships, management of corporate sponsorships, aligning employees with local volunteer service opportunities and more.

“I am honored to have participated in such a well-recognized, professional program like the Graduate School of Banking,” Marsh said. “The course curriculum proved highly insightful with the current sales and marketing trends in the financial services industry, and I am eager to apply this education to my work at Merchants Bank, to help move our company forward.”

The Graduate School of Banking’s Sales and Marketing School provides the foundation for bank marketers and sales professionals to tie together important issues in marketing and sales management with a bottom-line understanding of business banking. Earlier this year, Marsh also completed the Graduate School of Banking’s Digital Banking School, where she dove headfirst into the key elements of a bank’s effective digital strategy and the important shifts that drive digital banking success.

In addition to this honorable recognition, Marsh’s professional accolades include designation as a Certified Financial Marketing Professional (CFMP) from the American Bankers Association (ABA). She also graduated from the Advanced Bank Marketing School presented by the ABA in 2018.
