For the fourth consecutive year, a public Menorah Lighting ceremony will take place in front of Robert Goodman Jewelers, 106 N. Main St., in the heart of Zionsville Village. The event is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28.
Rabbi Dovid Grossbaum of Chabad Center for Jewish Life-Lubavitch of Indiana will lead the lighting ceremony in celebration of Hanukkah, also known as the “Festival of Lights.” This year’s eight-day Hanukkah celebration runs Dec. 25 through Jan. 1. The Chabad Center for Jewish Life-Lubavitch of Indiana is providing the Menorah for the lighting event.
“Menorah lightings certainly are embraced by members of the Jewish community around the world,” said Rose-Marie Goodman, co-owner of Robert Goodman Jewelers. “We are thrilled to host this event for our Zionsville community once again this year, and in keeping with our long-held philosophy of unity, we sincerely invite everyone – and we mean everyone – from the Zionsville area and beyond to join us for this celebration on Dec. 28!”
