A popular winter fun run returns to Westfield on Saturday, Feb. 3, when participants race their way through the fourth annual Melt the Trail 5K/10K at Grand Park.
“We had a great turnout last year and expect the 2018 Melt the Trail to be an even bigger event than ever before,” Community Events Manager Alexa Lingg said.
This year’s event will feature the return of two popular Melt the Trail elements: a costume contest and Valentine’s Day card-making station. Participants can compete in the costume contest by using #MeltTheTrail2018 on Instagram for goodies provided by sponsors.
The Valentine’s Day card-making station gives participants a chance to make Valentine’s Day cards that will be delivered to residents of Wellbrooke of Westfield.
Online registration is still open at westfieldwelcome.com/melt-the-trail. Registration is $35 for the 5K and $40 for the 10K.
Participants are highly encouraged to stop by for early packet pickup from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2 at the Grand Park Event Center. Day-of packet pickup will occur from 7 to 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3 at the Grand Park Event Center.
