Southeastern’s Payton Fox & Heights’ Lily Roush named Players of the Year

The Hamilton County Reporter has selected Hamilton Southeastern senior Payton Fox and Hamilton Heights junior Lily Roush as its Softball Players of the Year.
Fox was a true senior leader for the Royals, putting up great numbers to lead Southeastern to a 21-8 record. She batted .462 for the season, drove in 50 runs and hit 11 home runs. Fox has committed to play softball at Ball State University this fall.
Roush was a star both on offense and defense for the Huskies, leading them to a sectional championship and a school record 19 wins. Roush averaged .381 while batting in 26 runs, and threw 182 strikeouts in the circle, finishing the season with a 9-3 record.
