The Carmel Interfaith Alliance and the Mayor’s Advisory Commission on Human Relations will once again co-sponsor the Meet Your Neighbor forums in Carmel.
Each forum will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursdays, beginning on Oct. 4 and concluding on Nov. 1, in the City Council chambers of Carmel City Hall, 1 Civic Square, Carmel.
- On Thursday, Oct. 4, Rabbi Dennis Sasso will speak on the Jewish faith.
- On Thursday, Oct. 11, KP Singh will speak on the Sikh faith.
- On Thursday, Oct. 18, Dr. Anita Joshi will speak on the Hindu faith.
- On Thursday, Oct. 25, Father Lucas Christensen of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church; Practitioner Sharon Stoughton Jackson of First Church of Christ, Scientist; and Rev. Lori Bievenour of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ will speak on the Christian faith.
- On Thursday, Nov. 1, Muzaffar Ahmad will speak on the Muslim faith.
Each speaker will talk about their beliefs, misconceptions that people have formed and common themes with other faith traditions. A time for questions and answers with the audience will follow.
