Mayor Finkam goes to Washington

Carmel Mayor Sue Finkam says the biggest part of her job is advocating for the city, and some of that advocacy includes working with Indiana’s Congressional delegation in Washington, D.C. Last week, Finkam visited with Indiana’s U.S. Senators and Representatives and discussed the cost and production problems with fire trucks, recruitment and training of public safety personnel, infrastructure, U.S. 31 redevelopment opportunities, and the great progress the city’s team made in 2024. Finkam said Indiana’s representatives in Congress greatly care about Indiana, and she was incredibly appreciative of their time.

(From left to right, top to bottom) Mayor Finkam met with Sen. Todd Young, Sen. Jim Banks, Rep. Erin Houchin (9th District), Rep. Victoria Spartz (5th District), Rep. Jefferson Shreve (6th District), and Marlin Stutzman (3rd District).
