Mayor Fadness to present awards at Senior Showcase

Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness will join Fishers Arts Council President Shari Knox on May 3 to present awards to 16 students from Fishers High School and Hamilton Southeastern High School during the 10th annual Fishers Arts Council Senior Showcase. With cash awards totaling $2,000, this will be the largest award total ever provided by FAC.

The categories are:

  • Best of Show: $500
  • First Place – Photography, Drawing, Painting: $250 each
  • Second Place – Photography, Drawing, Painting: $150 each
  • Third Place – Photography, Drawing, Painting: $100 each
  • Honorable Mention (six total): FAC Certificates

There will be a free public reception from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Art Gallery at Fishers City Hall. The awards ceremony will begin at 8 p.m.

The judge for the exhibit was Deborah Stapleton, Executive Director of the Anderson Museum of Art, Anderson. Ms. Stapleton recently was a judge for the 2019 Indiana Artisans Show at the State Fairgrounds. She has been with AMA for the past 39 years.
