Matthew Edward Snyder, 36, Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024.
Matt was born in Indianapolis on September 28, 1987, to Edward Snyder and Doreen Wampler.
Matt attended Hamilton Heights High School and was a part of the graduating class of 2005. He then attended IUPUI and obtained his bachelor’s degree. Matt held several job titles before taking over his family’s HVAC business, Snyder Heating & Cooling. Matt was a man of many talents, he was a musician and songwriter, artist, and previously a personal trainer. He loved spending time doing pencil art and playing his guitar and ukulele. He liked throwing darts, bowling, going canoeing and was an avid Pacers and Colts fan. Matt also loved playing video games with his brothers and feeling free on his electric bike with Mary.
Matt is survived by his mother, Doreen Wampler of Fishers; fiancée, Mary Perrin of Indianapolis; brother, Lucas “Luke” Snyder of Fortville, Ind.; sister, Anne (Justin) Nevitt of Fishers; sister, Rachael Wampler of Indianapolis; brother, Max Wampler of Noblesville; niece, Lily Nevitt; stepmom, Patricia Snyder; grandmother, Georgeanna (Don) Gellinger of Cicero; and Molly, his pet Dachshund.
Matt was preceded in death by his father, Edward Dean Snyder; grandfather, Charles Snyder; and grandparents, Dan & Arlene Gregorich.
Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Hartley Funeral Home, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero. A private Celebration of Life will be held immediately following visitation at 5 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024, at the funeral home, with Woody Bowling officiating. Cremation will follow.
