December 30, 1986 – January 3, 2023
Matthew Adam Doty, 36, Westfield, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. He was born on December 30, 1986, in Noblesville.
Matthew graduated from Sheridan High School, class of 2004.
Matthew wanted to help and care for people; he worked as a certified nursing assistance at a hospice facility where he took care of the needs of the patients. He didn’t stop with just assisting at the hospice facility – he was also an advocate for equal rights and spent countless hours fighting for people.
When Matthew wasn’t working or advocating, he enjoyed watching horror films and listening to music. His favorite music genre was alternative, and his favorite band was The Smashing Pumpkins. His brother-in-law Roger has fond memories of The Smashing Pumpkins concert the two of them went to and Matthew knew every song. Matthew also loved to cook, and he would look forward to cooking for his family.
Matthew leaves behind his loving family: his mother, Lisa (David) Collins; and his four siblings, Andrea (Roger) Casper, Jeremy (Melanie) Collins, Jason (Heidi) Collins and Jake (Sheila) Doty. He was a loving grandson to Gale and Louise Ewing. He was a nephew to Angie (Matt) Viehe and Becky (Drew) Curtis. Matthew was also a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his cat and best friend Casper.
