Mary T. Treinen

November 7, 1929 – February 25, 2023

Mary T. Treinen, 93, Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Prairie Lakes Health Campus in Noblesville. She was born on November 7, 1929, to Domnic and Mary (Prochello) Audino in Geneva, Ohio.

Mary had a strong faith and was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Noblesville. She married Bernard Joseph Treinen on November 23, 1951. They were married 67 years until Bernard passed away in 2018. Mary enjoyed quilting, sewing, and reading, especially Agatha Christie novels. She enjoyed trips to the casino where she played the penny and quarter slots. Most of all, Mary loved her family and attended all their activities from baptisms, graduations, weddings, and holiday events.

Mary is survived by her children, Steve Treinen (Barb); Annie Erichsen (Lisa Linder), Martin Treinen (Wesley Spencer), Theodore Treinen, and Thomas Treinen (Kelly); brother, Frank Audino (Mary Ann); sisters-in-law, Leona Audino and Mary Kay Audino; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Treinen; daughter, Michelle Hill; grandsons, Michael Treinen and Joshua Erichsen; granddaughter, Sara Wright; brothers, Joe Audino and Tony Audino and her son-in-law, Bill Hill.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, with a Rosary service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, 3220 Stone Park Blvd., Sioux City, Iowa. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 703 W. 5th St., Sioux City, Iowa. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Sioux City, Iowa.
