Mary Kaye (Pryor) Sautbine, 79, Fishers, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024. She was born in Linton, Ind., on October 16, 1944, to the late Robert and Helen (Stahl) Pryor. Mary Kaye married Ernie Sautbine in 1966.
Mary Kaye graduated as the valedictorian from Central High School in 1962 and from Indiana Central College (University of Indianapolis) with a B.S. in business education in 1966. After beginning her career at Eli Lilly and Company as a departmental administrative assistant, Mary Kaye became a computer programmer and retired as a systems analyst after 27 years. Following her retirement at Eli Lilly she worked 10 years as a contract programmer for Daniels Associates before working part-time for several years at Fishers United Methodist Church where Mary Kaye was a member for over 40 years.
Mary Kaye was a loving wife, mom, and grandma. She was always actively involved in the lives and activities of her sons, Ryan and Kevin, and later her grandchildren. She spent many hours fundraising for the Fishers United Methodist Church, Boy Scout Troop 109, and the Hamilton Southeastern High School Band.
Mary Kaye was loved by all who knew her. Mary Kaye loved her family, church, music, and the Indiana Pacers. She was very active at Fishers United Methodist Church, spending many years in the choir, handbell choir, Sunday School, and women’s Joy Circle. Mary Kaye was an avid Indiana Pacers fan being a season ticket holder for over 35 years.
Mary Kaye was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Helen Pryor, and brother, Philip Pryor. Surviving Mary Kaye are her husband, Ernie; son, Ryan (Jennifer) Sautbine; son, Kevin (Hilari) Sautbine; grandchildren, Madeline, Samuel, Lillian, and Lincoln; brother, Alan (Montica) Pryor; sister-in-law, Diann Pryor; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Monday, July 15, 2024, from 4 p.m. until the time of her celebration of life service at 6 p.m. at Fishers United Methodist Church, 9691 E. 116th St., Fishers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name can be made to Fishers United Methodist Church Come to Me Food Pantry.
