Marleta Beth “Marty” Goodnight – Faucett

January 3, 1937 – February 11, 2018

Marleta Beth “Marty” Goodnight – Faucett, 81, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at her home in Sebring, Fla. Marty was born on January 3, 1937 to the late Berford and Anna Mae (Cox) Goodnight.

After 27 years of service with Western Electric it was time to retire, giving her more time to do the things she loved; spending time with family and friends, and traveling. Marty, along with her late husband Bennie, were very passionate about Bluegrass and Old Country music jams. They started organizing them shortly after moving down to Sebring.

Marty is survived by her five children, Betty Clark (Stan), Fishers; Larry Faucett, Sebring, Fla.; Dickie Faucett, Sheridan; Ricky Faucett (Patti), Plainfield; and DarLynn Faucett (Taren), Kokomo; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Iolene Mossburg (Jim), Louella Goff, Sandy Weir, Marietta Jones, Marcia Hardin (Leroy); and her brother, Mark Goodnight.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Lowell Goodnight; and by the love of her life, her husband of 63 years, Bennie E. Faucett.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018, in the O.V. Winks building, located at the Hamilton County 4-H Fairgrounds, 2003 Pleasant St., Noblesville. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Kirklin, Ind.
