He was a member of various churches throughout the years and accepted the Lord in 1974 at the Monticello United Methodist Church and was baptized at East 91st Street Church, Indianapolis, in 1993. He began his music ministry at age 12 and continued until his death. Most recently he was deacon at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church in Bloomington, Ind., and had been active with St. Luke’s Methodist Church in Lubbock, Texas. He had written dozens of contemporary Christian and love songs. He is currently a member of Thrive Christian Church, Westfield. It was by God’s grace that he was able to surprise his mother with an 80th birthday celebration on August 28, 2021.

Mark had over 30 years of leadership experience in healthcare administration and business and served as a TTUHSC Assistant Professor for over nine years and as an executive with TTU Physicians and the School of Health Professionals Speech and Hearing Clinic. 2. I just happened across this and was saddened to see Mark’s obituary. Mark and I were friends at IU and had many good times together with the Singing Hoosiers. He was a very kind person and I was sorry I lost touch with him. I am sorry for your family’s loss.
