Many local high school volleyball players earn Academic All-State honors

Several Hamilton County volleyball players were among the 919 senior student-athletes from across the state who received Academic All-State honors from the Indiana High School Volleyball Coaches Association.

The IHSVCA gave out two awards based on weighted grade-point averages: The Gold Awards, for those with GPAs of 3.75 and up, and the Silver Award, for those with GPAS between 3.50 and 3.74. The average GPA for all honorees was 3.96.

Here is the list of Hamilton County players that earned Academic All-State honors:

Carmel: Carly Christy (Gold), Kiah Jackson (Gold) and Lauren Dossey (Gold).

Guerin Catholic: Allison Downey (Gold), Claire Castor (Gold), Ella Murphy (Gold), Lucy Caltrider (Gold), Molly Weas (Gold), Valerie Loso (Gold).

Hamilton Southeastern: Avery Hobson (Silver).

Noblesville: Ava Rundle (Silver), Gabby Weihe (Gold).

Sheridan: Alexis Lewin (Silver), Jacquellynne Bates (Gold), Payton Warren (Gold).

University: Ashley Ndebele (Gold), Kathleen Lautenbach (Gold), Lily Westerkamm (Gold).

Westfield: Brent Stone (Gold), Broderick McAfee (Gold), Emma Dodson (Silver), Emma Sumpter (Silver), Kaylee Sutcliffe (Gold), Lucy Muntel (Gold), Mallory Weber (Gold), Mallory Neale (Gold), Olivia Nelson (Gold).
