Magdalene “Micki” Herdegen, 101, Westfield, passed away Monday, December 30, 2019. She was born in Düsseldorf, Germany, on June 26, 1918 to John and Barbara Hoffstetter Weiss.
In 1924, Magdalene, along with her family, immigrated to the U.S., choosing Milwaukee, Wis., as home.
In addition to her parents, Magdalene was preceded in death by her loving husband, Benedict Herdegen; daughter, Darlene Roesslein; sons-in-law, Tim Boneso and James O’Kane; grandson, Chad Bonesho; and siblings, Hilda Metz, Frederick Meyer and Joseph Meyer.
Survivors include her daughters, Sheryl O’Kane and Janice Bonesho; son-in-law, Ken Roesslein; granddaughter, Shannon Harris; grandson, Tim O’Kane; great-grandchildren, Connor and Declan Harris, Brenden and Matthew O’Kane, and Cooper and Anne Bonesho.
A Memorial Mass will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 10, 2020 in St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 17104 Spring Mill Road, Westfield.
