Loretta G. Hess, 77, Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Riverview Health in Noblesville. She was born on April 17, 1944 to Hubert and Ossie (Jones) Cooper in Pennington Gap, Va.
While living in Virginia, Loretta worked for a clothing factory, some restaurants, and for the Lee County Clerk’s Office. After moving to Noblesville, she worked for King Systems. Loretta enjoyed playing bingo and watching cooking videos. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and playing games with her grandkids.
Loretta is survived by her children, Dohna Smith (Henry), Hershel Lee Cox Jr., Ricky Allen Cox Sr. (Angela), Denny Cox (Beth), and April Dawn Cox (Britany); siblings, Jewell Siler, Audrey Stapleton, and Gary Cooper (Victoria); 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and her best friends, Arlene Hasselhoff and Andrea Stewart.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Jeffrey Lynn Cox and Michael Hess; grandsons, Marty Lee Webb and Ricky A. Cox Jr.; first husband, Hershel L. Cox Sr.; second husband, Joe Milton Hess; and her siblings, Eugene Cooper, Anna Mae Ball, Shirley Cooper, Garvie Cooper, Richard Cooper, and Bobby Cooper.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the funeral home, with Pastor Darrell Jones officiating. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
