The academy is free and open to Fishers residents who are ages 18 and older. At the end of the three-month course, participants will have a greater understanding of how the Fishers government works. The fall session of CGA will meet twice a month from 6 to 8 p.m. and run from Thursday, Aug. 15 through Wednesday, Dec. 11, ending with a graduation luncheon with Mayor Fadness.

Mayor’s Youth Academy 2024-2025 Session

The free Mayor’s Youth Academy program invites local high school students to work alongside Mayor Scott Fadness and other city leaders to address important issues facing the community.

Students will experience behind-the-scenes tours, discuss thought-provoking policy questions, and explore career opportunities within the public sector.

In coordination with local schools, students meet monthly on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at various locations around Fishers. The Mayor’s Youth Academy will conclude in the spring of 2025, offering some participants the opportunity to present to the Fishers City Council.
