Local veterans reach out to Hoosiers deployed in Kuwait

In January, the Hamilton County Veterans Corp. coordinated with Mike Reid, Indiana National Guard Soldier and Family Readiness Specialist, and Chaplain (LTC) Cliff Pappe TF Spartan Chaplain 38th ID Command Chaplain overseas on a care package drive for deployed Hoosier troops at Camp Arifjan in Kuwait.

The 600 citizen soldiers deployed last September and are scheduled to for a one-year deployment.

The packages have been arriving, and according to Chaplain Pappe reception has been great.

Thank you to everyone who made this important project possible for our brave men and women service our country overseas.

    God bless you and keep you safe. My husband spent 28 years in the Army and our son spent a year in Iraq. They both came home. God is watching over you.
