Each year, the Indiana House of Representatives participates in the Suits and Sneakers challenge, an annual event hosted by the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. According to the Indiana State Department of Health, cancer is the second-leading cause of death for Hoosiers. Many cancers can be prevented or treated early by getting regular detection screenings.

Bosma (R-Indianapolis), Todd Huston (R-Fishers) and Chuck Goodrich (R-Noblesville) paired sneakers with their suits to draw attention to National Cancer Prevention at the Statehouse in Indianapolis.
