Local retirees of the Indiana State Police held their annual Christmas breakfast at the Jim Dandy in Noblesville on Tuesday, Dec. 17. Approximately 27 were in attendance with their guests. Also present was retiring Indiana State Police Superintendent Doug Carter. ISP Sgt. Glen Shrock (Retired) presented Carter with a plaque thanking him for his service. Carter started his ISP career in Hamilton County in 1983.

Thank you for your service to the great State of Indiana, Superintendent Carter.
One of the most influential people in my life, and what an honor it was to serve with you.
What a great picture of you and Shrock!
Doug set the standard high for successors (and predecessors). Consummate professional. Great communicator. As compassionate as they come.
