Jenna and Chelsea Jones, who compete for Noblesville’s Gymnaworld Gymnastics, will be competing in the United States Gymnastics (USAG) Region 5 Gymnastics Championships this week in Battle Creek, Michigan. Both gymnasts qualified for the Region 5 Regional by attaining qualifying All-Around scores in the USAG Indiana State Championships last month in Terre Haute, Indiana.
The USAG Region 5 Championships consist of gymnasts from Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Michigan who earned the minimum All-Around scores in their respective State Championship meets. The top six gymnasts at each Level and division in the All-Around competitions in Battle Creek will go on to compete their Level’s USAG National Championships.
Chelsea Jones (left), a high school freshman, became the Indiana State Balance Beam Gold Medal Champion in her Level 9 division last month in Terre Haute to go along with her Region 5 Regional Championships qualification. She will compete at noon on Saturday in the Level 9 Senior 5 division.
Jenna Jones (right), a 2018 high school graduate and 2019 University of Wisconsin/Stout commit, was the Bronze Medal Balance Beam winner in her Level 10 division at the USAG State meet in March to go along with her Region 5 Regional Championships qualification. She competed in the Level 10 Senior F division on Thursday.
