Claire Lane, Urban Conservationist at the Hamilton County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD), was recently certified as a Green Infrastructure Practitioner (GIP) through the National Green Infrastructure Certification Program.
Lane received a scholarship to complete the training and sit for the certification exam through the National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA) Great Urban Parks Initiative.
Lane says she intends to use her training as a Green Infrastructure Practitioner to enhance the offerings of the SWCD urban conservation program at the SWCD and to encourage and improve green infrastructure throughout the county’s parks, municipalities and residential communities.
