One of the most popular animals on display during the Hamilton County 4-H Fair are the llamas. The Fair’s Llama Barn was active from the start, as the Llama Pack Obstacle Course took place that afternoon. Llamas and their handlers, such as Kenzie Matthews and Dymond, navigated a simple course with packs attached to the llamas. Earlier that morning, the Llama Senior Showmanship competition took place.
Llama events continue today with a busy schedule: The Intermediate Showmanship at 9:30 a.m., the Llama PR Obstacle Class at 1:30 p.m., the Llama Costume Contest at 5 p.m., the Leaping Llama Exhibition at 6 p.m. and the Walk-A-Llama at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, the Beginner Llama Showmanship takes place at 9:30 a.m., with the Field Obstacle event at 1:30 p.m. Walk-A-Llama Games and Activities are scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday, with the Parents’ Llama Show to follow at 2:30 p.m. Activity wraps up on Monday with the Youth Judging Class at 10 a.m.
