While Donald Rainwater made a strong showing in his bid for Governor as the Libertarian Party candidate, he said Tuesday night that he did not consider it a victory, even if many of his supporters do. While he may have taken the Indiana Libertarian Party to the next level, he said he is not satisfied.
“I really wanted to win,” Rainwater said. “I heard somebody say this was a win, and that’s fine. But it’s not the way I look at it. I really wanted to fix some government. I’ve told people for a while now – and I really believe this – if I am more free tomorrow than I was yesterday, then today was a success. But I want you to leave here remembering that this is not good enough. It won’t be good enough until we gain control of our government back.”
