Shoppers get ready … for the second year, the Carmel Arts & Design District will kick off Small Business Saturday at 9 a.m. on Nov. 24 at All Things Carmel with free coffee and donuts. Many businesses will have free Shop Small tote bags to help you carry all of the great gifts you buy at locally owned small businesses.
Small Business Saturday was created by American Express in 2010 to celebrate small businesses nationwide.
“This is a great way to promote locally owned businesses in the District,” said Nancy Heck, Director of Community Relations and Economic Development. “American Express gives Neighborhood Champions tote bags, buttons, posters, magnets and pens to help promote the day.”
From 9 a.m. to noon, there will be a Shop Small Welcome Station at All Things Carmel with free coffee and donuts from Square Donuts. Each free tote bag will have a number of items from businesses in the Carmel Arts & Design District along with a list of more than 15 businesses that will be offering discounts all day. You can also enter to win one of two gift baskets valued at more than $200 each at participating Arts & Design District businesses.
