Les Olds, an architect and former executive director of the Carmel Redevelopment Commission, passed away after a tragic accident in May.
Les is being honored for his expertise and work in as an architect and in structuring public-private partnerships that enhanced both Carmel and Indianapolis with the unveiling of an engraved stone marker dedicated in his memory. The ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14 in the West Garden of the Palladium, 1 Center Green, Carmel.
Les was a key player in the redevelopment of Carmel’s central corridor and was particularly instrumental in working with Mayor Brainard on the vision of City Center, including the Palladium and Center for the Performing Arts. He also helped transform the Old Town area into the beautiful Arts & Design District.
