As one of the fastest-growing communities in Hamilton County, Fishers is constantly seeking to engage with residents in diverse, meaningful ways. Safety Day, presented by Fishers Fire Department, seeks to do both.

In conjunction with Fishers Farmers Market, this free event will take place from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 7, surrounding the Fire Department Headquarters at 2 Municipal Drive. Safety Day welcomes families of all ages for live entertainment and demonstrations, and opportunities to connect with local organizations.

During Safety Day, you can:

  • Participate in the Fishers Police Department Bike Rodeo (waivers required)
  • Tour fire trucks
  • Visit the Safety Trailer and learn about fire safety
  • Learn to recognize unfamiliar hazards in bedrooms of teenagers’ by exploring the Hidden in Plain Sight trailer.
  • Learn about life and fire safety with The Kasey Program
  • Performances by HIJH and FCJH Choirs as well as FJH Orchestra
  • Donate blood
  • Watch firefighters complete a rope rescue demonstration
  • … and much more!

Safety Day is one way Fishers Fire Department is working to educate the public and provide opportunities to improve overall health and wellness in Fishers.
