“I have the right combination of experience, skills, and leadership style that uniquely qualify me to serve as the Central District’s representative on the Carmel City Council,” York said. “I am active in our community and have a keen understanding of the needs of the Central District.”

The Central District encompasses Carmel’s vibrant business core including Midtown, City Center, and the Arts & Design District.

York plans to prioritize intentional and thoughtful growth in Carmel by focusing on what residents want and businesses need. She understands finance, budgets, how to connect with people, and tackles challenges head-on through her work as a consultant in the nonprofit sector.

York plans to make the safety of all those who live, work, or do business in Carmel her top priority while on the City Council and wants to ensure that Carmel’s public safety departments have the resources and tools to be prepared to deter or respond to any threats in the community.

“If elected, I plan to have a continual open dialogue with residents,” York said. “I pride myself on being a highly accessible and transparent leader.”

Aside from owning Talbott Talent, York is the chair of the OneZone Women’s Network of the OneZone Chamber of Commerce, Vice President of The O’Connor House, and a volunteer for the Carmel Farmers Market.
