Noblesville Schools announced today that Leah Wooldridge has been named athletic director for Noblesville High School (NHS), replacing Mike Hasch who left the position earlier this year. Assistant athletic director Tony Oilar has been serving as interim athletic director during the transition.
Wooldridge was selected from approximately 50 applicants and brings 13 years of education leadership experience to the position, serving as principal at Franklin Community High School, as well as athletic director at Taylor Junior/Senior High School in Kokomo. She has been a basketball coach at NHS and Anderson High School, with multiple Coach of the Year and championship honors, as well as a recruiting coordinator at Ball State University and the University of Detroit Mercy. As a player, Wooldridge was an Indiana high school basketball semi-state champion, a University of Michigan basketball team captain, and an NCAA tournament winner.
“Leah brings a long list of impressive accomplishments to the role of athletic director, not least of which are her proven abilities as a strong leader, team player and mentor for our coaches and athletes,” said Jeff Bryant, principal of Noblesville High School. “We’re excited to welcome her back to NHS and are confident she will continue to raise the bar for our athletic programming.”
“I also want to thank Tony for his dedication serving as interim director,” added Bryant. “He is a true professional and his work behind the scenes has made this transition seamless.”
Wooldridge holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in sports management, a physical education degree from Ball State University and a master’s degree in school administration from Anderson University.
