State Road 37 pavement patching

Next Friday, Aug. 9 there will be road patching on northbound SR 37. The northbound lanes will close in order to resurface this stretch. The contractor will taper SR 37 to one lane travelling northbound and allow drivers to exit on 131st Street or 135th Street where the hard closure will be. Watch for message boards alerting drivers of the closure. Please see maps at these links: Closure 1, Closure 2, Closure 3, Closure 4, Closure 5.

State Road 37 & 141st Street

Preliminary construction work is underway at SR 37 and 141st Street. During this time pavement markings and concrete barriers will be placed. There will be no closures during this phase, only intermittent lane restrictions during the hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Please note the continued lane restrictions on SR 37 North and South, approaching the 141st Street Interchange.

As of July 23, the west side of 141st Street at SR 37 has closed for the next phase of construction. Traffic will transition to the east side, with SR 37 north and southbound lanes remaining open. This closure will remain in place throughout 2024.

Please review detour routes to plan ahead during this time (141st Street, SR 37 West, and SR 37 East). Thank you for your continued patience and remember to drive cautiously and safely through construction areas.

Beginning on or after Aug. 19, the intersection will be closed to thru traffic. Access to Woods of Britton apartments will be maintained off Cumberland Road only during this first phase. Sidewalk Improvement Project

Restoration will be ongoing in the Britton Ridge Neighborhood the week of Aug. 5. The sidewalk work will consist of removal and replacement of sidewalk panels which pose a toe kick trip hazard. Sidewalk within driveways is not included in the scope of this project.

126th Street & Southeastern Parkway roundabout

This roundabout is on track to open by Wednesday, Aug. 7. The new single-lane roundabout will also include a connection for the Hunters Run development. The project will rehabilitate or reconstruct the pavement, add curb and gutter with storm sewers, and multi-use paths and/or bicycle lanes.

Road resurfacing projects

The contractor will be conducting milling operations in Hillsborough and Quaker Ridge neighborhoods on Saturday, Aug. 3 and will be paving the following neighborhoods next Tuesday and Wednesday Aug. 6 and 7: Fox Run, Hillsborough, and Quaker Ridge. Concrete work will be underway in Walnut Creek on Fortune Drive.

Residents are asked to refrain from parking vehicles on the street during active construction operations. Homeowners will be notified via door hangers prior to any curb reconstruction near their home. After ADA ramp and curb reconstruction is completed, those areas will be restored with topsoil and seed. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to water the seed for the seed to germinate. Prior to road resurfacing, residents will be notified via street signage for street parking restrictions.
