Last-second basket sends GC past Speedway

Guerin Catholic kept its win streak going by scoring a 48-46 comeback victory at Speedway on Saturday.
The Golden Eagles were down by 13 points early in the second half, but came back to tie the game in the final seconds. With the clock running down Aliyah Dorsey sent a pass to Olivia Labus, who found Kathryn Loso under the basket. Loso laid it in with three seconds left to give Guerin Catholic the win.
Labus scored 15 points for the Golden Eagles, with Loso adding 13. Mia Thompson had seven points. Complete stats were not available.
Guerin Catholic has now five games in a row and is 10-8 for the season. The Golden Eagles return home on Tuesday to host Decatur Central.
