Laser Flash of Carmel selected EdgeRock Development of Westfield to build a multi-level 50,000-square-foot family entertainment center in Westfield. The new center will be located on State Road 32 west of U.S. 31 and will feature laser tag, bowling, Cyber Sport, axe throwing, an indoor ropes course, an arcade, an outdoor miniature golf course, a restaurant and bar with both indoor and outdoor seating along with other attractions. The site was selected to best serve the growing Westfield community on a daily basis, for business events and to serve the Grand Park demand for entertainment options.
EdgeRock Development currently has a Starbucks, Crew Car Wash, Penn Station and Forum Credit Union under construction on the 32 West Corridor all scheduled for 2018 openings. EdgeRock recently started construction on the “ProX” athletic facility at Westfield’s Grand Park with an opening date of early 2019.

Laser Flash has operated its Carmel location for 16 years as the premier laser tag facility in Indiana utilizing a laser tag system by Lasertron of Amherst, N.Y., which manufactures the most advanced laser tag gear in the industry. The new center will incorporate the latest arena technology from Lasertron and will be different than any other laser tag arena in Indiana. The immersive, interactive and programmable LED arena will completely change the way the world thinks about and plays laser tag. The arena, which is under control by the game computer, reacts to actions and strategy of the players and teams throughout the game allowing such exciting game modes as Domination, Base Station, King of the Hill, Zombie and more.
Several lanes of bowling are planned for the new center. Laser Flash will use the most advanced and entertaining scoring software in the industry providing players with such popular game styles as You Toons and Monster Factory. The comfortable seating at the lanes will be able to be reconfigured in minutes to provide large groups with a contiguous seating arrangement. This way, business groups and others will be able to socialize with their entire party instead of just the players on one or two lanes.

Laser Flash in Westfield will be the first Indiana location to offer Cyber Sport which was developed by Lasertron. It is a two-team sport that is a combination of basketball and lacrosse played indoors on highly maneuverable Cyber Cars. Players use a one-handed scoop to pick up, pass and shoot a soft foam ball into goals mounted on the wall at each end of the court. The ropes course will be manufactured and installed by Ropes Courses, Inc., of Allegan, Mich. Participants wear a tethered harness while negotiating a variety of walkways above the arcade.
The outdoor miniature golf course will be designed and built by Harris Miniature Golf of Wildwood, N.J. Harris is recognized and the premier designer of miniature golf courses.
The entire center is being designed by the award-winning architects at Dynamic Designs of Birmingham, Mich. Dynamic Designs has 35 years of experience designing family entertainment centers. One of their projects was Crazy Pinz Entertainment Center in Ft. Wayne.
Laser Flash in Carmel will continue to operate at full capacity until the new center is ready for occupancy. The new center will require an estimated 130 employees. The Carmel location will be used to train many of the additional employees to provide a smooth grand opening in late 2019.
