The Noblesville girls lacrosse team dominated its Senior Night game Friday, beating Westfield 21-3 at Beaver Materials Field.
Maddie Christie scored the first goal for the Millers, and it was quickly answered by the Shamrocks’ Lauren Dean. But after that, it was all Noblesville, as the Millers blasted out to a 14-1 halftime lead.
Emma Potter went on a tear during the latter part of the first half, scoring five goals. Rheagan Haney added three goals, and Megan Wernke scored to end the half. Haney put in two more goals during the second half.
Noblesville led 18-1 before Westfield scored back-to-back goals from Claire Horvath and Kayla Reis. The Millers then scored three more goals, one each from Nataley Blackburn, Sarah Travis and Brooke Miller.
Haney and Potter both finished with five goals, while Sidney Klinger added three and Christie scored two. Blackburn, Chaney Cornell, Brooke Miller, Mallory Miller, Travis and Wernke all scored one. Klinger handed out three assists, followed by two each from Emily Blackburn and Potter. Christie, Mallory Miller and Wernke each had one assist. Potter had six ground balls and five forced turnovers, while Cornell had three ground balls and three forced turnovers.
Carmel’s girls team defeated Culver Academies 17-5 on Friday.
Maddie McGarty scored five goals and handed out three assists to lead the Greyhounds’ offense. Tori Tomalia had two goals and two assists, while Anna Dumke and Julia Cherubini each scored twice and handed out one assist.
Hannah Kim and Sophia Hanna both added two goals and Pey Henney had one goal. Cherubini started as goalkeeper, with Kim taking over in the second half. The two combined for eight saves.
Hamilton Southeastern’s boys team beat Guerin Catholic 14-5 in a home game.
The Royals led 2-0 after one quarter, but turned it on in the second period to lead 9-0 at halftime. Ryan Kemp scored three goals in the second quarter; he would finish with five goals. Garrett Smith added two goals and two assists, while Blaine Wertz also put in two goals.
Jake Lemieux went 14-4 in faceoffs and scooped up four ground balls. Ty DeSplinter and Hayden Grace also had four ground balls each, with DeSplinter making two forced turnovers.
Guerin Catholic stats were not available.
Southeastern will host Noblesville on Wednesday.
