The Carmel girls lacrosse team picked up two more victories this week.
First, the Greyhounds beat Brebeuf Jesuit 15-4 in a rainy game Tuesday at Murray Stadium. Junior Tori Tomalia led the scoring with five goals, also handing out an assist. Hollis Rang scored twice and had an assist, Sophia Hanna put in two goals, and Anna Dumke had one goal and one assist. AnnMarie MacGill and Breckin Hare both added one goal each.
Carmel came back on Wednesday to win an away game at Bishop Chatard 15-11. The ‘Hounds trailed 3-0 early before coming back to tie the game 7-7 by halftime. Carmel then used a strong defensive effort in the second half to pull away from the Trojans.
Dumke led the scoring with five goals and one assist. Tori Tomalia had seven draw controls to go with her three goals and one assist. Hollis Rang and Avery Goehl both scored two goals, and Sophia Hanna, MacGill and Marie Canaley each added one goal. Hare and Elle Tomalia both handed out one assist.
The Greyhounds’ next game is Tuesday when they host Hamilton Southeastern at Murray Stadium.
Hamilton Southeastern’s boys team won a Wednesday all-county game at Guerin Catholic 9-3.
Michael Mattaliano dominated for the Royals, scoring six goals on nine shots. Garrett Smith, Connor Ruhnow and Louden Sundling all got one goal, with Sundling dishing out three assists.
Gavin Wright went 11-3 at the faceoff X, while Southeastern goalkeeper Colin Krekeler made six saves. Dillon O’Rourke, Nolan Knies, Hayden Grace and Hayden Holmes all had strong defensive games.

The Royals play games in Grand Rapids, Mich. this weekend, taking on Forest Hills Central on Friday and Rockford on Saturday. The Golden Eagles travel to South Bend St. Joseph on Saturday for a noon game.
