Kroger invites shoppers to join an annual food drive to serve children in need. Volunteers from Fueled for School will return to Noblesville’s Logan Street Kroger for a collection from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 12.
“Hosting such a food drive is another example of our commitment to hunger relief, especially child nutrition,” Kroger Central Division President Colleen Juergensen. “We don’t want anyone going to bed hungry. Donating a canned good, a box of cereal or a jar of peanut butter is such an easy way for anyone to make a difference in young lives.”
Fueled for School is an all-volunteer non-profit that provides food each weekend during the school year and over school breaks to local children facing food insecurity. The organization says it “currently provides food every week to approximately 400 children in Noblesville.”
Audra Shock, Director of Operations for Fueled for School, said the volunteers strive “to eliminate childhood hunger in our community. We are always in awe of the generosity of the customers at the Noblesville Kroger!”
Carpenter Realtors Noblesville has partnered with Fueled for School to help collect the food donations.
